Miss America Spends the Day Visiting our Sponsors
Although Miss America, Teresa Scanlan, was in town to attend our Walmart and Sam's Club Celebration, she spent all day Friday visiting our sponsors and making people smile. She is truly a beautiful person and is a wonderful ambassador for Children's MIracle Network Hospitals.

Sunglass Soiree' New Year's Eve photos
The Hottest New Years Eve Party in Orlando was definitely the Sunglass Soiree hosted by the Orlando World Center Marriott. A cocktail reception and silent auction kicked off the evening. Dinner and dancing followed until the confetti cannons exploded at midnight to ring in 2011. A 9-piece band, The Malones, provided incredible entertainment throughout the evening. A special guest appearance by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals co-founder, John Schneider topped off the event. Save the date! We will ring in 2012 together again.

MVCI Knocked it out of the Park for the Kids!!
Judy Armstrong did it again.... she knocked it out of the park for the kids during the annual Marriott Vacation Club "Let's Hit One for the Kids" Softball tournament on Saturday, October 2nd at the Osceloa Softball Complex in Kissimmee. 14 teams from around Central Florida completed - 2 teams even came from Tampa area Marriott properties to participate.
Splash, the mascot from the SpringHill Suites and Fairfiled Inn & Suites by Sea World was the cheerleader for the day!
John Crutchfield, contestant on season 9 of The Biggest Loser was on hand to help with the first pitch. 2010 Children's Miracle Network Florida Champion, Carson Chorney started the event with the first pitch and the command to "Play Ball!"

McLane Food Service Golf Tournament
MCLane Food Service hosted their 8th annual golf tournament on Saturday, September 25th at Hawk's Landing Golf Club at the Orlando World Center Marriott. It was a beautiful day - great participation - and over $15,000 raised for Children's Miracle Network!! A special thank you to Marco, Connie, Lillian, and Team for another fantastic event!!

Marriott's Cypress Harbour 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
5 A.M. - that is early in the morning. That is also the name of the 2nd annual winning team for the Cypress Harbour 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament for Children's Miracle Network. The team gathers a couple of times a week to practice and yes they do it at 5 A.M.! Congratulations to John Ruble, Justin Blazer, Mark Heldt, and Brad Bradford for taking home the trophy for the 2nd year in a row.
A special Thank You to Audra, James, Pam, Holly and crew for putting on such an incredible tournament. The event was a HUGE success raising $11, 004.75 for Children's Miracle Network! AND I cannot express how grateful we are that Gary Boyer, Boyer Building Corporation sponsored the event. THANK YOU!!

Miss Orlando Celebrity Basketball Game
The weather outside was frightful but the competition inside was fierce! The Miss Orlando organization hosted the 1st annual Celebrity Basketball Tournament for Children's Miracle Network at The Venue at UCF on Sunday, August 8th. The halftime show by Jullian and The Hearthrob Heroes brought the crowd to their feet. A special Thank You to Jullian and The Hearthrob Heroes for performing that evening.
Team Outlaw (Coached by Orlando Magic's Bo Outlaw) kept the game close but in the end Team Anderson (Coached by Orlando Magic's Nick Anderson) pulled ahead and took the trophy.
A special THANK YOU to Michelle Lugo, Donald Gray, and Juan Cantu for all their support and hard work to make this an incredible event.

Marriott Vacation Club - Car Wash for the Kids!
A great BIG THANK YOU to Judy Armstrong from Marriott Vacation Club for coordinating a very successful Car Wash for the Kids! The day was HOT but the team was COOL out washing the cars. We appreciate the support of Miller's Ale House for the donation of the lunch. In the end, the Car Wash for the Kids raised $3,800 for Chidlren's Miracle Network! We cannot thank MVCI enough for their unending support. We

Grande Lakes Orlando - JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton
Grande Lakes Orlando has been busy raising funds for Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network! The hotels have hosted a car wash, dunk tank, and raffles. They are off to a great start and they are hopeful to beat their last year total of over $40,000 for CMN. The events to date have raised over $1,100. A special Thank You to Kevin Doak, Laurie Rietze, and committee for their Sprit to Serve - supporting Children's Miracle Network!

McLane SunEast - Events for the Kids!
McLane SunEast has been on top of their fund raising game all year! A special thank you to the Children's Miracle Network committee for planning great events all year long such as: the soccer tournament, the volleyball tournament, the softball tournament, the basketball tournament (photos attached), the bowling tournament, the putter golf tournament, and the golf tournament coming this fall.
