Since Walmart and Sam's Club became a corporate sponsor of Children's Miracle Network in 1987, the company has raised more than $530 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across North America.
The 10 Walmart Neighborhood Markets, 9 Sam's Clubs and 34 Walmarts in Central Florida have faithfully supported Shands Hospital for Children and Arnold Palmer Medical Center since the very beginning. From bake sales, bowling, golf tournaments and auctions to breakfast, lunch and dinner, managers in jail and on tricycles, there are no limits to what Walmart and Sam's Club associates will do to help kids. By the end of 2011, Walmart and Sam's Club contributions in Central Florida will be well over $4 million!
Beginning May 1 and running through June 13, customers will be asked to make a contribution at the registers to their local participating children's hospitals. Customers can choose to donate $1, $2, $5 or any amount they would like. Shop at Walmart and Sam's Club and support their campaign to help hospitals help kids
