Miracle Treat Day to Benefit Children's Miracle Network - Dairy Queen donates Blizzard proceeds to Children's Miracle Network hospitals

The forecast for major blizzard activity throughout the United States and Canada on Thursday, August 9 is not about the weather, it's about helping kids, as Dairy Queen hosts the second annual North American "Miracle Treat Day" to benefit Children's Miracle Network.

During Miracle Treat Day, participating Dairy Queen locations will donate proceeds from every Blizzard sold to Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals.

Miracle Kids, children who have benefited from Children's Miracle Network dollars, will make an appearance at three participating locations in the Central Florida area. Mark, age 15, will be at a Dairy Queen in St. Cloud, 2601 13th St, from 2:00-5:00pm. Jai, age 3, will appear at an Ormond Beach Dairy Queen, 328 N. Nova Rd. #108, from 4:30pm - 5:30pm. Also, Shannon, age 7, will visit a Dairy Queen in Apopka between 2:00 and 3:00pm.

Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals across North America. Participating hospitals in Central Florida are Shands Children's Hospital at UF and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Money raised through Children's Miracle Network is used to purchase patient care equipment and fund programs and research that benefit more than 250,000 children treated at these two hospitals each year.
