Members of the Westside Motorcycle Ministry and Go-Fur-Wings are hosting a motorcycle ride with Wal-Mart to benefit the pediatric programs at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Shands Children's Hospital at UF through Children's Miracle Network.

The ride takes place Saturday, October 13, 2007. Registration is from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and the 100 +/- mile ride begins at 9:00 a.m. Riders are to meet and leave from the Apopka Wal-Mart at 1700 S. Orange Blossom Trail. Cost is $20 per bike and includes the ride, poker run and lunch.

Wal-Mart has been a corporate sponsor of Children's Miracle Network since 1987 and has contributed over $350 million to Children's Miracle Network and its 170 member hospitals. Their continued support makes them the largest Children's Miracle Network corporate partner to date. In Central Florida, Wal-Mart and Sam's Clubs have raised over $2.5 million for Children's Miracle Network.

Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals across North America. Participating hospitals in Central Florida are Shands Children's Hospital at UF and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Money raised through Children's Miracle Network is used to purchase patient care equipment and fund programs and research that benefit more than 250,000 children treated at these two hospitals each year.
