15th Annual Miracle Trail Ride Helps Hospitals Help Kids

ORLANDO, FL, September 26, 2007 – Central Florida trail riders are invited to saddle up for the kids treated at Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children on Saturday, November 3, 2007.

The 15th Annual Miracle Trail Ride is a marathon fund raiser on horseback sponsored by RE/MAX Realty Resources and Florida Park Services. Riders are asked to collect pledges in advance for each mile of the ride they complete on the ten-mile trail through the Lower Wekiva River State Preserve. All participants must bring their own horses. No carriages are allowed and a current Coggins certificate is required to ride.

Registration is at 7 a.m. and the ride begins at 8:45 a.m. All riders who bring at least $50 in donations will receive breakfast, lunch from Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Q and a t-shirt. Additional prizes will be awarded to riders raising more than $100. The rider who brings the most donations to the Miracle Trail Ride will win four Walt Disney World passes.

Net proceeds from the 15th Annual Miracle Trail Ride will benefit Shands Children's Hospital at the University of Florida and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children through Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network. These hospitals use the money they receive from Children's Miracle Network to purchase patient care equipment, fund research, provide diversionary activities and purchase patient education materials.
