Central Florida Blazes A Trail For Kids October 11
ORLANDO, FL, October 11, 2004 --
Central Florida trail riders are invited to saddle
up for the kids treated at Shands Children’s Hospital
at the University of Florida and Arnold Palmer Hospital for
Children & Women on Saturday, October 11.
The Eleventh Annual Miracle Trail Ride is a marathon fund raiser on horseback. Riders are asked to collect pledges in advance for each mile of the ride they complete. Prizes are awarded based on the amount of pledges turned in.
The ride takes place in the Lower Wekiva River State Preserve in Lake County and follows 10 miles of beautiful trails. Registration is at 7 a.m. and the ride begins at 9 a.m. Following the ride, lunch will be provided for $5. Riders who bring $100 or more in donations to the trail ride will receive a certificate for a free lunch.
Net proceeds from the Eleventh Annual Miracle Trail Ride will benefit Children's Miracle Network (CMN), an organization dedicated to supporting improved health care for young people.
Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women are the participating CMN hospitals in Central Florida. CMN donations are used to fund patient care equipment, research, diversionary activities and education and outreach programs.
