Brevard County Bicycling Event to Benefit Children's Miracle Network

INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, FL, February 21, 2008 – Cyclists from throughout Central Florida will participate in the Foresters Miracle Bike Ride presented by Bob’s Bicycle Ship in Indian Harbour Beach on Sunday March 9, 2008. The ride begins at 8 a.m. and riders may register starting at 7 a.m. All proceeds benefit Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network.
Participants can enjoy a scenic 40 mile ride or 80 mile ride or a 10-mile family ride beginning at Charlie & Jake’s, 445 E Eau Gallie Blvd in Indian Harbour Beach. The route will take riders through Sebastian Inlet, Indian River Lagoon and Pelican Island offering beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. There are rest stops every 20 miles and the ride concludes with a barbecue lunch at Charlie & Jake’s.
Advanced registration is $35 per rider. Registration the day of the ride is $40. Children under 12 ride free. All donations to Children's Miracle Network will benefit the pediatric programs at Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Since 1983, Children's Miracle Network has been actively supporting better health care for kids by generating funds and awareness for more than 170 associated hospitals. The organization is unique in that the money that is raised in each community benefits the local participating Children's Miracle Network hospital. Shands Children's Hospital at the University of Florida and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children are the participating Children's Miracle Network hospitals in Central Florida and share the funds raised through Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network.
