John - Deltona
Dale and Angela had suffered the painful loss of a baby boy born at 22 weeks gestation. So when they decided to try again to expand their family they knew all too well the challenges they faced.
Researching the best hospital equipped to care for a high risk pregnancy and deliver a healthy baby, the family found the answers they were looking for at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. They made the decision to relocate their family to Orlando to be close to the fourth largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the country.
When Angela became pregnant her doctors took steps to help her carry the baby as long as possible. Born at 25 weeks gestation weighing just one pound 10 ounces, baby John spent 12 weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and battled many complications, but today John's parents are enjoying his smiles and watching him achieve milestones.
They continue to stay in touch with the doctors and nurses at Winnie Palmer Hospital who helped them bring John into the world and who they say treated John as if he were their own.
