Natalie
Celebration, FL
Natalie was sharing a special father/daughter moment, dancing the waltz with her dad at her cousin’s wedding, when tragedy struck. Natalie suffered a ruptured anterior communicating frontal lobe brain aneurysm. She was airlifted to Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida where she underwent a 10 hour surgery. Natalie spent nearly five months at Shands. The first month she was in a coma on a feeding tube. When she woke up, Natalie was transferred to rehabilitation to learn to walk and eat again. Today Natalie is back to being a normal teenager with no problems at all from her ordeal. She especially loves acting and is appearing in the musical Grease. Meanwhile, her father cherishes every moment he spends with his daughter.
