When Diego was born, his parents felt there was something wrong with his left foot. Doctors told them not to worry, it was probably caused by his position in the womb and would eventually resolve itself. His parents felt in their hearts that something was not right. Finally, at four months old, Diego was diagnosed with club foot. Their internet research led the family to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Diego underwent the surgery and wore casts with a bar connecting his feet until he was a year old, but he learned to crawl and walk on schedule. Now he only wears the bar at night and he runs with the energy of any pre-school soccer team!
