Magic Cares for Kids Radiothon Successful!

The 10th annual Magic Cares for Kids Radiothon was successful! Dave Collins, Leslye Gale and Ken Payne broadcasted live from the atrium of Arnold Palmer Hospital. Listeners heard amazing stories of courage and strength, hope and determination and miracles coming true. We heard about the little girl who was born at 23 weeks gestation weighing just 15 ounces and is doing great five months later. We listened to Gracyn sing to the heavens after receiving a heart transplant as if that sweet girl's heart could ever be replaced. We watched Tamari walk through the hospital every day on his way to radiation and had a surprise visit from Hayden - a long time ago story of a kid with cancer who is now fine. It was an emotional roller coaster as it always is and I wouldn't change a thing. We started off the first day very slow and were alittle worried. But I should never doubt the masters of Radiothon - Dave and Leslye. They have loyal listeners who have wonderfully large hearts. Between the callers and online gifts and the generous donation from Panera, we raised over $232,000 in just three days. I can't wait to hear what kind of miracles happen once these funds are put into action.
